we've been taking my little sunshine buster here for years. He always comes back cute as a button with a new seasonal bandanna and hes always happy not all traumatized like other groomers. my dog is a little shelter dog so he can be testy at times but they always take wonderful care of him he's never once come back with his nails cut too short or a nick on him of any sort. their services are a little pricey but i think the foxy hound is worth every penny and then some.

We found FOxy Hound from the Los Gatos Patch. We have a Labradoodle 60 pound with a lot of hair! He needed a spring cut but we didn't want him totally shaved. They explained exactly what the cut would look like so wer'nt surprised. We picked him up and he looked so nice and smelled wonderful. We were happy overall with the service. The staff is very friendly but I wish groomers would include the tip in the service.

My dogs make my life a joy and I want the very best for them. I tried a number of groomers before I found Foxy Hound. Buffy and Cody are comfortable with Maria their groomer and she does first rate work. Buffy was having some health problems and Karen, the owner, made some suggestions for our Vet to check out which resulted in making Buffy happy and healthy again. It is important to me that my dogs are groomed by people who really care about them.

I've been to Foxy Hound several times. The owner, Karen, loves animals dearly. And, after 8 years of using other groomers, my poodle got his first proper haircut here! The service is polite, and my dog is ready in a relatively short time, beautifully done, and happy. The shop is clean and charming. I will never go anywhere else.

I have had all my cats and dogs bathed by the staff of The Foxy Hound...for over 14 years. The dogs know what kennel to go to and are happy when they are there. They inform me when one might have an ear infection or a bump under the skin. The staff are friendly and do a great job of grooming my animals. I do trust them with my animals and appreciate the good care they give them.

We brought our newest rescue in today for her very first real grooming experience. She is a small mix breed and before getting her the only dogs we have ever owned have been either labs or german shepherds so we didn't even know what to ask for when we made her appointment. The staff was very helpful in guiding us toward what kind of cut to give our sweet girl, and she looked SO DARN CUTE when she came home that I could have died. Two sweet little pink bows, and her cut was just perfect. We will be back :)

I took my dog Sadie for grooming after nothing but grooming disasters for a year from other places. They where so nice and courteous when I dropped of my dog. I did not feel rushed as I told them how I wanted her to be groomed, even with 4 people behind me waiting to drop off their dogs. I asked if my dog could be ready early because didn't want to leaver her all day since this was my first time there They told me my dog would be done around 2:00 and she was, which is shocking in the first place. The staff was nice and courteous from the beginning. I was a little wary after reading a couple of reviews. When I picked her up she was ready to go they gave me tons of treats for her and put cute pink bows on her ears. She was not stressed out at all which is nice to see.

I have been using Foxy Hound to groom my minature Schnauzers for well over five years. They do an outstanding job and are competitive in price. I especially appreciate the individual attention to one of my dogs who has a motor coordination problem which makes her more difficult to groom. They are very patient and loving with her. I heartily recommend this grooming business and the excellent service they provide.

I found foxy hound listing from the Los Gatos patch. I have a beagle mix who is very nervous when I take her to get groomed. The staff loved on her and gave her cookies, her tail was wagging and loving all the girls. When I picked her up her up she didn't want leave! Also, let me give paws up to the nail trims.

The most important thing to me is how comfortable my dog seems when she goes into a grooming shop. At Foxy Hound, my dog runs up to Karen licking her face and tail in high speed happy wag. I'm a very protective dog mom, so seeing that my dog loves going there makes me feel so much more comfortable leaving her. If I need to pick up my dog early they are always accommodating. My dog has done some professional modeling for pet products so she must look perfect for photo shoots. She is also a registered therapy dog. Upon request the groomer will paint her nails which is always a big hit at the senior homes. A+ on grooming skills A+ on service A++ on being dog lovers

My rescue Samoyed was a matted mess. I took him to another groomer and she said she had to put a muzzle on him to work on him because he was trying to bite her. He came home crazy for two days after being with her. I took him to The Foxy Hound on a friend's suggestion. They worked on him for a bit, then gave him a rest and a short walk. Then again, with another rest and a short walk. They were so sensitive to his needs. He came home calm and peaceful. He wasn't completely free of the mats, but the next trip to The Foxy Hound three weeks later fixed his coat perfectly. And, he wasn't distressed. He looked beautiful, and all the mats were gone. I took him back once a month until he died. I noticed that sometimes he wasn't completely dry when I came to pick him up, but that was okay with me. Those hair dryers are stressful for Arctic breed dogs with their thick fur, and he could dry out at home. I was very happy with the work he had done there. They clipped his nails beautifully, expressed anal glands, trimmed his ears, and made him look like a show dog. All without stressing him out. Sure, they didn't always get all of the fur out, and there was still some shedding when he came home, but I've groomed two other Samoyeds myself before him, and for what they charged for the bathing and grooming it was well worth it, especially since he wasn't crazed coming home. I have recommended this groomer to friends and they have all thanked me.

We have a Yorkie Poo puppy and we've been searching around the Bay Area for months to find a grooming facility that actually know what they're doing. We are extremely picky about where we want to take our precious little dog. We have tried several places in the area, but have yet found a place like Foxy Hound. It's amazing how clean and organized this place is! It's a breath of fresh air knowing that our little addition to the family is in good hands. They are very professional and have the knowledge and skills to make our dog beautiful. She was clean, nails clipped, perfect cut, and two beautiful bows. This place really cares about their customers and their pets. I highly recommend The Foxy Hound! What a great experience!!!!!

I've been a long time user of Yelp and I've just finished reading a number of reviews of Foxy Hound and I'm amazed at how many bad ones there are. I have two long hair dogs, a Keeshond and a Golden Ret. They go in the first Friday of every month and have always come out beautiful. Before I went to Foxy Hound I tried several different grooming solons with mixed results. I usually tell them to call me when the dogs are ready, but on those rare occasions that I've needed them at a particular time, they've always come through.

Karen gave my Maltese the PERFECT CUT!!! She has never looked so cute, the compliments keep pouring in!! I have tried the Los Gatos groomers, and Karen is a huge step above. I have been taking my 2 long haired cats and dalmatian here for 7 years. I have NEVER been anything but pleased and impressed with the service and quality of the grooming of the staff and especially the owner. They treat your pets as if they are their own. I have been alerted if they see any medical issues with my cats... one time fleas inspite of being on frontline. We call the foxy hound the "kitty spa" because it truly is a day spa for your pets where they will be pampered and loved!

This is the second time I've had Eric in, & they did a wonderful job again. They don't chop off his hair, they are really good at getting me in on the days I'm off, & finish so quick. Eric is strutting around the house like he's a big shot now (& he's only 10 pounds!). Thanks again Foxy hound (Eric is part Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & part chihuahua). Keep up the good work!

I've been doing business with the folks at The Foxy Hound for over 15 years. I purchased my two Exotic Short-hair cats there and get them groomed and their nails clipped as well. I find their work to be of superior quality, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I drive 12 miles from Sunnyvale for their expertise. I took my Yorkie and my terrier mix for a bath and haircut and the staff here is wonderful! Not only did they make my babies look beautiful but they listened carefully to what we wanted it done. I will continue to take my babies heref or their needs. I highly recommend them!

My mini schnauzer is sooo happy we found this place! We had bad experiences with several other local groomers, where our dog acted like he'd been tortured when we picked him up. He would literally leap into my arms and hold on for dear life. It was obvious he hadn't been let out to go to the bathroom all day, and once drank an entire bowl of water the minute we got home. We felt horrible, so we started using a mobile groomer that would come to our home. That was good in theory, but she never kept appointments, and only used cold water. A friend recommended Foxy Hound, and we gave it a try. We were thrilled!! He was in and out in a few hours rather than an all-day lockup. When I picked him up, he was so happy and relaxed it seemed like he should be wearing a smoking jacket instead of the little bandana. He never comes home thirsty or with an exploding bladder. His haircut looks great. A big bonus is that his itching problem has gone away. He'd been to the vet many times over the years for sensitive skin problems, and once we started taking him here, it suddenly stopped. Plus, the grooming cost less here than any of the other places we tried. We are very happy!

I have had 2 very long hair cats and 1 very energetic dalmation... Foxy Hound is the ONLY place I would consider allowing groom and care for my precious family members. They are kind, gentle and extremely professional! Everyone who works there is courteous and friendly. They have a special way with long haird cats.. they come home well pampered, purring and very happy. Even my energetic puppy loves her visits there! The Foxy Hound is not only an excellent grooming facility but a great "SPA" for my cats and dog! (I'm jealous!) I would HIGHLY recommend the Foxy Hound!

Foxy Hound has been grooming my dogs since they were in the Lyndon Plaza, so I guess that's about 15 years ago now. They used to have an older woman receptionist that was not very friendly, but I didn't really care as long as my dog was treated well. Karen, the owner always did my dog personally. I am now on dog number three (last two have crossed over Rainbow Bridge). I'm a loyal Foxy Hound customer. Their prices are a little higher but I like the the calm energy of the shop, they keep the temperature cool for the comfort of the dogs, dogs are taken to potty, all the things I really care about. So paying a little more is worth it.

I take my dog to Foxy Hound every few weeks and have been extremely pleased with the service. My dog is not stressed out when I pick her up and looks/smells beautiful! I live out of town but have her groomed while visiting my Mom. Having a groomer that I trust is worth the drive!

We have a Shitzu that is a retired show dog. We spent Christmas in Tahoe and he got pretty badly matted. I took him in to Karen to see if she could save his coat. My wife would have killed me if I brought him home shaved. Karen said his coat could be saved with a couple extra hours of work which I was happy to pay for. When I picked him up he looked like he could have walked right back into the show ring. We hope to never allow him to get so matted in the future but Foxy Hound can work miracles.

I looked up a few reviews for pet groomers in Los Gatos as i was in town and needed something close by. Most of the places i looked up had bad reviews including this place. I was a little skeptical at first but decided to try it anyways. I was pleased with the customer service when we walked through the door. The lady who we set up with to take our long hair miniature dachshund was very courteous and attentive to how i wanted my dog groomed. She also took my corgi in that day where earlier on the phone she informed me that they were swamped with customers. I only expected my Dachshund to get groomed so it was a plus to have my other dog groomed as well. Their prices were comparable to petsmart but the service was above and beyond. Most places will charge you $100+ for your dog to be groomed. I paid 85 for both of my dogs. I will be coming back to here even though I live in Redwood City just to get my dogs groomed.

Foxy Hound is Great! We have been taking our 80 pound boxer to Eilene since he was 6 months old. We have issues trimming his nail which coming to the groomer has really helped. The staff is very friendly and the owner is awesome. I have recommended this business to many friends and all have been completely satisfied. We love foxy hound!

My 3.5 year old standard poodle Bright and I totally love the Foxy Hound pet salon! They've been grooming Bright for almost two years now. Every time he goes there he comes home looking like a royalty: beautifully groomed all over, with his nails carefully trimmed and ears cleaned. I admire their professionalism, the way they treat him and give attention to every little detail. He never gets even a slight irritation from clipping (something we had trouble with at several other places before! he's got sensitive skin...) and seems very enthusiastic about coming to Foxy Hound. If I'd let him, he would probably jump over the gate just to get into his crate there :) Bright gets lots of compliments from everyone for his great looks. He is so charming that all kids in the park want to pet him and play with him, drivers often stop in the middle of the road to have a closer look, and people in the streets turn around in admiration. All that thanks to Foxy Hound!
