About Us

The Foxy Hound was established in 1981 in downtown Los Gatos, CA. We moved to our current location at Walgreen's Square in 1992 to expand the grooming facility, provide better parking, and be more centrally located with easy access to nearby freeways. We have a beautifully designed grooming salon and a wonderful, kind, experienced staff.

We bathe and groom dog and cats of all ages and breeds. We use the highest quality professional grooming tools. We provide special equipment, such as the use of pet ramps, for senior pets and large breed dogs.

We opened Kit'n K'poodle, a pet oriented gift boutique, next door when the space became available. Kit'n K'poodle contains some real treasures. We have beautiful pet related gift items including Swarovski jewelry for people AND their pets, Rinconada collectibles, needlepoint pillows, pet sweaters, ladies handbags, and much more! Meet the Owner

Karen Wood has been in the pet business since 1962. Prior to establishing The Foxy Hound, she founded and owned a boarding facility in 1966 where she began breeding and showing toy poodles. In 1998 she also began breeding and showing Persian Cats and Exotic Short Hair Cats. To date, she has produced 3 champion Persian Cats and 1 champion Exotic Short Hair Cat.

Karen Wood is an active member of The Mission Trail Poodle Club since its inception in 1966. This organization is an affiliate club of the Poodle Club of America. They host poodle speciality competitions and two all-breed agility trials each year.
